Our Goal at Alderman Oaks is to improve and enhance your independent life-style. Our Location in exciting downtown Sarasota makes it easier for you to stay active doing things you've always done or have always wished you could do. Living in downtown Sarasota makes it fun to go on walks, probably the most recommended exercise (Wellness Programs). It makes it easier to stay involved in "real life" visiting your stock broker, bank, or favorite theater.
Alderman Oaks' staff strives to take away all the stress and monotony from daily living so that you can enjoy a truly independent life. Our Activities Programs make it possible to stay active even when you aren't able to go out into the community. Our medium size and warm, truly caring atmosphere makes it easy to make good friends who support each other in good and difficult times.
Most of the people who come to Alderman Oaks come to enjoy an independent life style. We however offer assisted living. It is our goal to make our assisted living the best that is available. Those residents who have been enjoying independent living with us will always have first option for assisted living apartments if they ever need it.
Our affordable rental plan frees your budget of home maintenance expenses and you of stress - you can concentrate on the things you enjoy.

We also offer Respite Care for temporary residents in transition as well as Short-Term Stays for guests of residents (typically family members or friends).
INDEPENDENT LIVING
Package includes:
- Apartment
- One meal per day (second and third available)
- Once-a-Week Housekeeping
- Once-a-Week Linen Service
- Personal Laundry (additional charge)
- Utilities (electric, gas, water, garbage collection, sewer, pest control, and one cable TV jack)
- 24 Hour Trained Staff with Emergency Response
- Maintenance
- Social and Recreational Programs
- Scheduled Transportation
ASSISTED LIVING
Observation Only
An assisted living package available on Floors 1, and 3. Your monthly fee includes everything included in Independent Living plus:
- Two Meals Per Day (requires doctor's order for resident to be allowed to prepare 1meal)
- Observation of General Health and Communication with Doctors
- Monitoring Weight, Appetite, Activity, etc.
- Does not include help with ADL's
Medicine Assist
An assisted living package available on Floors 1, and 3. Your monthly fee includes everything included in Independent Living plus:
- Two Meals Per Day (requires doctor's order for resident to be allowed to prepare 1 meal)
- Personal laundry service available for an Additional Charge
- Supervision of Medication Management (medications to be taken at 2nd floor Care Center with occasional reminders)
- Monitoring Weight, Appetite, Activity, etc.
- Observation of General Health and Communication with Doctors
- Monitoring Weight, Appetite, Activity, etc.
- Does not include help with ADL's
STANDARD ASSISTED LIVING, CARE LEVEL I
Your monthly fee includes everything included in Independent Living plus:
- Three Meals Per Day
- Assistance with Personal Care
- Personal Laundry Service Weekly (extra fee for special care items)
- Supervision of Medication
- Two Baths per Week (Whirlpool or Shower)
- Bar Soap and Toilet Tissue
- Monitoring Weight, Appetite, Activity, etc.
- Observation of General Health and Communication with Doctors
ASSISTED LIVING, CARE LEVEL II (PERSONAL CARE)
All Services Included Under Standard Assisted Living plus:
- Regular assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLS): Ambulating, Bathing, Dressing, Dining, Grooming, Personal Hygiene
- Three Baths per Week (Whirlpool or Shower)
- Assistance with Incontinence Problems
- Extra bedding changes
OPTIONAL SERVICES (Additional Fees)
- Tray Service to Room
- Beauty and Barber Shop Services
- Second TV Cable Connection
- Telephone Service ($25/month)

- Required Staffing Attendance for Doctor's visit
